Nanashi (CZ)

The ethereal singer and music producer Hana Kovaříková hides under the pseudonym Nanashi. She
began to pursue music as a self-taught musician only four years ago, but has already two albums to her
credit and the third is on the way. Thanks to the artist's penchant for genre crossovers, her music mixes
electropop, post-rock, indie rock or even cloud rap. The whole, however, forms a spirited, innovative and
emotionally charged probe into the life of a girl creating in the slowly disintegrating reality of the 21st
century. She gives space to dreamy, intimate and even fairytale-like songs, as well as to the vigorous and
energetic ones. She directs all her emotions into her music, because it is, as she says, an absolute safe
space for her. She uses aggression and impulsiveness in songs like Barbie or Kira as an empowering
and encouraging element, while also using gloomy melancholy to connect with listeners with the same
degree of immediacy as, for example, Yung Lean or Lana del Rey. Her lyrics play with themes of tragic
romanticism, nihilism, vulnerability or, on the other hand, independence, and songs like When Maria
looked into my soul, she cried, Dreamcore or Anthem leave the listener with euphoric ideas of fatal
stories. Nanashi writes not only from the perspective of a woman, but also from the perspective of an
individual belonging to Generation Z, who can passionately love the pluses that this era brings, but also
loses herself in its minuses and despair.

Now she is preparing to release a deluxe version of Josei's album. The release is planned for mid-April
and will consist of several collabs and remixes.
