Bottled Fish (KZ/RU/UA)

The band was created thanks to the creativity and shared love for music of Asya Shakurova and Nikita Zhitnikov. From a young age, they perceived reality in a cinematic way, where every moment needed its own soundtrack. This perception of the world influenced their music, giving it a unique atmosphere that often sounds like a soundtrack to life stories. The band lineup includes multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Asya from Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia; bassist Nikita from Kazakhstan & pianist Anton Saller from Ukraine.

The band identifies as post-genre indie, meaning they do not play a pure genre but mix and transform various musical styles such as alternative, synth-wave, indietronica, blues, rock, and bossa nova. They do everything themselves, which places them in the indie category.

They have been active on the music scene since 2019. In 2020, they released their debut EP "No One," which was compared by the media to Nierice and Air. In 2023, they released their debut full-length album "Dreams Lie," featuring songs about loss, helplessness, disappointment, and societal pressure, but also a strong desire to overcome obstacles. The album was recorded and mixed under the supervision of Tomáš Jochmann at Baracca Records, with mastering done by Gaex. Drummer Roman Vícha guests on the album. In 2024 they released a single “ZumZum” somewhere in between synth-wave & indie-rock.

The track "Do Evil" from the album "Dreams Lie" stayed in the Radio 1's Velká Sedma chart for 7 weeks. The band presented their album on Proglas and Rockzone radios and in magazines such as Headliner, Rock&Pop, Nový Populár, Full Moon, and Hudba.sk. Headliner included the band in its "50 Hopes of Czech Music 2023" l
