United Islands of Prague and Metronome Prague festival, in collaboration with a dozen embassies, are joining to commemorate the third anniversary of the unacceptable and inexcusable invasion of Ukraine by Russia. They are calling on all those who are not indifferent to Russia’s aggression to come on Monday, February 24th, at 5 PM to Ukrajinských hrdinů Street. As part of the Noise for Ukraine concert,, the 90 minute set will feature performers will include rappers Vladimir 518 and Mike T, music groups Už jsme doma, Zooblasters, Circus Problem, and Obrben, as well as Ukrainian singer-songwriters Nazar Ivanyshyn and Igor Yeromichev.
"Not only is this the 3rd anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It has also been 11 years since the Russian invasion of Crimea. Back then, we organized a similar event called Concert for Kiev. We now invite you to join us on Monday at 5 o'clock in front of the Russian Embassy at the corner of Boris Nemtsov square and Ukrainian Heroes street. Silence means consent and that's why we'll make Noise for Ukraine. Together we will express our staunch repudiation to Russian aggression in Ukraine. Noise for Ukraine also honors Ukrainian heroes who have been fighting for three years not only for the freedom of Ukraine, but for the freedom of us all," says David Gaydečka, producer of the United Islands and Metronome Prague festivals, speaking on behalf of the organizing parties.

Music has the power to unite, heal, and amplify voices that must be heard. We come together to make a difference—showing our unwavering support by creating music and noise. Let this event serve as a reminder that Germany is not alone, that the free world is listening, and that it cannot be silenced” said H.E. Daan Huisinga, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic.
The Noise for Ukraine concert will be a clear expression of of resistance to Russian aggression and a tribute to Ukrainian heroes who have been fighting for three years; not only for Ukraine's freedom, but for the freedom of us all..Jointly convened by the United Islands of Prague and Metronome Prague festivals, Noise for Ukraine is organized in collaboration with friends, significant figures and distinguished partners from the international community, the political sphere, and local civic and cultural organizations. This event joins other initiatives, civic and cultural activities that will be taking place throughout the day on Monday.
The Noise for Ukraine event is convened by the United Islands of Prague and Metronome Prague festivals and the Embassies of the Netherlands, Canada, Japan, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Latvia, USA, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Austria, Norway and Ukraine.
